High School Diplomas for Rosies: Celebrating New Legislation

Many WWII Rosie the Riveters dropped out of school to work for the war effort. Now, Michigan Sen. Sue Shink has introduced legislation that streamlines the path for them to get their high school diplomas! Prior to introducing the legislation, Sen. Shink’s office reached out to Michigan Rosies’ executive director Jeannette Gutierrez for suggestions. We were so honored to have played a part! Sarah from Sen. Shink’s office came by to announce and explain the legislation, and we also had the special treat of visiting with our California friends from the American Rosie the Riveter Association’s Orange County Chapter.
