Voices of World War II
16 million Americans served during World War II, and each had a different experience of the war. There was a postwar saying that, “One man’s war was not another man’s war.” With different branches of service, different theaters of conflict, and different battles and years of deployment, there are as many experiences of WWII as there were men and women who served. Collected here by Michigan Rosies are priceless firsthand and family stories of what these brave men and women observed and experienced, as they helped save the world.
