Michigan Rosies Rally Round the Troops!
Rosie the Riveter “Backed the Attack” in 1944 and, through the Michigan Rosies organization, she has their backs today!
Join the Michigan Rosies in making greeting cards for active duty troops! If you are not able to attend one of our card making events here in Michigan, please participate via mail and we’ll make sure your heartfelt greetings are forwarded to our men and women in service. Handmade or store-bought, all greetings are welcome.
Please follow the guidelines below to make sure your greetings meet the requirements of the service organizations we work with to distribute greetings to the troops:
Do not include an envelope for each greeting: please bundle your greetings envelope-free all in one envelope to us at the address below.
Be positive and upbeat, please avoid talking about death, danger, wounds, or anything negative or sad.
Be thankful :-)
Feel free to share a little info about yourself like hobbies, pets, etc.
Talk about things happening around home like the weather, sports, etc.
They love your drawings but please DO NOT USE GLITTER due to military regulations.
Keep your message positive and appropriate, and please avoid politics or political statements.
Avoid lengthy religious discussions, but saying you are praying for them is great!
Feel free to include your first name, city and state.
It’s best to avoid giving your full address, especially for children.
Please mail greetings to:
