Dearborn Seniors Make Valentines for Rosies
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Crafts traveled to Dearborn Heights this year where a group of friendly seniors gathered together with Rosie Friends Jeannette Gutierrez and Rose Tripepi to make Valentines Day cards for the WWII Rosies and WWII Vets. Almost 50 cards went out this year, each handmade by one of the seniors!
A Concert for Rosie at WCC
Vocal stylist and recording artist Corey Strong sang holiday favorites to piano accompaniment by William Bennett in the beautiful Morris Lawrence Auditorium at Washtenaw Community College. The performance was Corey's gift to his friends the real Rosie the Riveters of WWII. The concert is the Rosies' gift to the community, and was free to attend for all! An Afterglow Reception in the atrium allowed the public to mingle with the Rosies while enjoying complimentary refreshments.
Garden City Santaland Parade 2023

Delphine 99th Birthday at the Bomber Restaurant
Our group had a blast celebrating Rosie Delphine Klaput’s 99th birthday at our favorite place, the Bomber Restaurant in Ypsilanti, Michigan!
Novi Veterans Luncheon
Our WWII Veteran George Leland was a special guest at the annual Novi Veteran’s Luncheon, while our group’s Jeannette Gutierrez emceed the show.

Garden City Rosie Rose Garden Dedication Luncheon
Our WWII Rosies and Veterans were out in force to help dedicate our newest Rosie the Riveter Rose Garden in Garden City, Michigan. We’ve planted many Rosie Rose Gardens in Michigan!
Gathering August 2023
Our Michigan Rosies gathered at American Legion Post 282, and we made greeting cards for our troops!
Royal Oak WWII Memorial Dedication
WWII Rosies and Veterans from our group were witness to a moving ceremony and participated in a festive picnic at the Royal Oak WWII Memorial.
Rosie Craft Show 2023 Ypsilanti Township
One of our Rosies’ favorite events is the annual Rosie Craft Show organized by Ypsilanti Township. Our community is so proud of its Rosie heritage!
Rosie Friends Visit Milan, Michigan
Our group enjoyed lunch and shopping in quaint, smalltown Milan, Michigan. Sometimes a spry Rosie like Delphine will join us on our rambles!

Rosie Presentations 2023
Our chapter gave many Rosie the Riveter Presentations in 2023! Our mission is to educate, and at each presentation we educate anywhere from 25 to 200 people about Rosie the Riveter and World War II!
Foundation 14 Gala
Our WWII Rosies and Veterans were special guests at Foundation 14’s Annual Gala Dinner Dance. Foundation 14 is a nonprofit organization that engages in outreach to veterans of all conflicts.
Ford Woodhaven Rosie Display for National Women's Month
We helped the women at the Ford Woodhaven Plant celebrate Women’s Month by including three of our Rosies to feature in their exhibit.
Rosie Day at the Capitol in Lansing 2023
We partnered with several Michigan manufacturing councils to organize the first ever Rosie Day at the Capitol in Lansing, drawing a crowd of over 700 people to celebrate the modern women in the manufacturing sphere – from the factory floor to the C-suite – along with the real WWII Rosie the Riveters who opened the doors for women!
