We really represented in this year’s Dearborn Memorial Day Parade with several Rosies and WWII Veterans and the fabulous ARRA Rosie the Riveter Drill Team. Driver Lee Jacobson’s Cadillac convertible showcased the Rosies!
Westland Rosie Tea and Rose Garden
We dedicated 6 more rosebushes in the Rosie the Riveter Rose garden at Westland Historic Village Park at a Ceremony and Tea at the beautiful Octagon house!

We enjoyed a day in Northville with tea and a presentation on Ford’s Willow Run Bomber Plant by friend and presenter Claire Dahl.
Rosie the Riveter Rose Gardens Planted for 2022

Rosie Friends Visit Milford
We met for lunch in Milford, placed markers to honor fallen Veterans, then we rambled around picturesque Milford, MI to shop and act as Rosie Ambassadors. We met lots of curious and interested people and told them all about Rosie!

Rosies Celebrate the Holiday in Belleville

Lt. Col. Alexander Jefferson's 100th Birthday Celebration
Our group’s Jeannette Gutierrez participated in the festivities surrounding the 100th birthday of Lt. Col. Alexander Jefferson, WWII Tuskegee Airman. She was honored to be among those invited to the Press Reception and Rededication Ceremony for Jefferson Field in Detroit.
Rosie Clara Doutly's 100th Birthday Party
Clara’s Katie threw a real wing-ding of a party at the Gaelic League in Detroit for Clara’s 100th! Jeannette Gutierrez emceed a program that included the Capuchin Friars, Haile Brown from Rep. Debbie Dingell’s office, Ford Motor Company, and the Tuskegee Airmen! WDIV Detroit and the Free Press covered the event.

We did the Rosie of WWII proud with a fabulous Ring a Bell for Rosie celebration. Kelly Walker sang for the audience and in attendance with Rep. Debbie Dingell and Michigan’s Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist.
Greatest Generation Gathers for Lunch in Belleville

Rosie the Riveter Craft Show
Once again we brought our Rosies and WWII Vets to Ypsilanti Township’s popular Rosie the Riveter Craft Show at North Bay Park. We were delighted to be joined by Angie and Linda from the Cheboygan/Emmet County ARRA Chapter!
Diamond Lil B-24 / WWII Greatest Generation Reunion
Jeannette Gutierrez made a longtime dream of hers come true when she organized and event to reunite the B-24 Liberator bomber Diamond Lil with the women who built her, the men who flew her, and the brave Tuskegee Airmen who escorted her on missions. The wonderful folks at the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) who keep Diamond Lil flying shared the dream, and worked with Jeannette to make it happen!

Our Rosies were guests of the Yankee Air Museum at their annual Wings and Wheels gala preview night.
Willow Run Rosie the Riveters Ride in Style in Royal Oak Memorial Day Parade
The Royal Oak Veterans Committee hosted our Rosies and WWII Vets in style at the Memorial Day parade. A special float was built for them by the Detroit Parade Company. The ARRA Rosie the Riveter Lunchbox Drill Team made its debut at this event.
Tea With Rosie the Riveter in Westland
Our group partnered with the Westland Historic Village Park to co-host Tea With Rosie! This lovely event was followed by the dedication of 6 new rosebushes in the Park’s Rosie the Riveter Rose Garden.
"Rosie Wave and Walk-by" 100th Birthday Celebrations
We organized two safe and socially distant Rosie Wave & Walk-by celebrations to honor the 100th birthdays of two local Rose the Riveters. Centenarian “Rosies” Helen Bandyke and Almyra Rourke each watched safely from her windows as we honored them with a Rosie procession and Rosie cheer, and presented them with cards and letters, and a Rosie teddy bear.
